Care For All

As many of you know, and others of you who are learning nearly every day, at Orcas Family Health Center (OFHC) , the ability to pay, or provide proof of insurance, is not a condition for receiving primary health care for you, your family, your guests or island visitors.

Many of the services that Dr. Shinstrom and his medical staff provide are free or are at a reduced cost. This policy has literally provided hundreds of hours of care for patients who, but for the policy of “care for all,” would in all likelihood not have received the treatment they needed.

Orcas Family Health Center is the only 501 C (3) charitable, non-profit, rural health center on the island. Your contributions are 100% tax deductible. The ability of OFHC to continue providing 24/7 “care for all” requires the continued generosity and support of our community, our friends, our patients, our medical staff and our board of directors.

We are asking for your help, and now is as good a time as any to start planning your year-end tax deductible charitable donations. If you like what we do and the way we do it, then please take the time to make a tax deductible donation. You may want to consider what some of our other contributors are doing. They have set up affordable, monthly bank transfers so that their donation painlessly covers a 12 month period. Any amount is welcome, there is no minimum required, and you may rest assured that your contribution is confidential and that it will be used to help those who need help with their health care. If you would rather donate by personal check, please make checks payable to Orcas Family Health Center. Our mailing address is 1286 Mt Baker Road, Suite B102, Eastsound Washington, 98245. To pay by credit card or through Pay Pal, please contact Aaimee Johnson, our office manager at 360-376-7778 or click on the “Donate” button on the left.

Thank you for your past, present and future help – we work for you and we CAN NOT work without YOU!
